Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL):
This is a three years course. Admission
for new intake will be advertised by Tribhuvan University,
Institute of Medicine (TU, IOM), Dean's Office, Maharajgunj,
Kathmandu yearly in December/January (Nepali Month – Mangshir/Poush)
in National Newspaper. The application form should be collect
from the respective campus and submitted within the date specified.
Admission information can be also obtained from the office
of the Lalitpur Nursing Campus ,Sanepa Lalitpur.
To be eligible for the application form
fill-up, the students must have at least 50% marks in School
Leaving Certificate with English, Math and Science compulsory
subjects and have to pass a rigorous national entrance examination
conducted by TU, IOM. The classes for successful candidates
will begin in March (Nepali Month – Chaitra).
Post Basic Bachelor in Nursing (BN):
BN is a two years programme. The advertisement
for new intake of BN will be published by TU, IOM in August/September
(Nepali Month – Shrawan/Bhadra). The interested applicants
have to collect application forms directly from TU, IOM, Dean's
Office and have to submit in the same place. While submitting
the application form, the applicant has to choose the respective
campus to study as well as the major subject to study in.
To be eligible for the BN application
form fill-up, the applicant must have completed PCL in Nursing
and have not less than a minimum of three years of work experience.
The applicants have to go through the entrance exam. The classes
for successful candidates will begin in November (Nepali Month
– Mangshir).
Masters in Nursing (MN):
MN is also a two years programme. The advertisement for new intake of MN will be published by TU, IOM in February/March. (Nepali Month – Phalgun).
The interested applicants have to collect application forms directly from TU, IOM, Dean's Office and have to submit in the same place. While
submitting the application form, the applicant has to choose the respective campus to study mentioning the category applying for as well as the
major subject to study in.
