The certificate and bachelor
level nursing curricula originates from Tribhuvan University’s
Institute of Medicine and encompasses hospital nursing, midwifery,
mental health,
community nursing, etc.
The curriculum is based on initializing Nursing process to
assist individual, family and community to attain health.
Much of student clinical practice takes place
at Patan Hospital. Other specialty hospitals and health care
centers (Government of Nepal, TU, Private) within the Kathmandu
Valley are also used. Students also travel for periods of
time to outlying areas where they learn at community health
post bases.
