Faculties
All teachers have obtained a Bachelor’s
degree in nursing and many hold a Master degree in Nursing.
All staff are Nepali except for one expatriate. All faculty
members are involved in different committees that help in
the management and planning of programs. The faculty also
participates in community health programs and professional
nursing activities outside the campus. The teacher –
student ratio is 1:6 in clinical areas, 1:45 in theory (PCL)
and for BN 1:25 in theory, 1:5 in clinical.
All the faculties and staff are committed to the demonstration
of faith, love, service to others, justice, good stewardship
of resources, sincerity, honesty, and integrity as they work
with students, patients and with the community. Most of our
faculties are involved as volunteers in organizations such
as the Nursing Association of Nepal (NAN), Nepal Nursing Council
(NNC), Center for mental Health (CMC), Nepal Mahila Biswashi
Sangh (NMBS), Tribhuvan University, Institute of Medicine,
Maharajgunj Nursing Campus and United Nation Women's Organization
(UNWO).
The campus conducts preparation classes
for potential PCL new intakes. The faculties also develop
PCL Model Questions.
In order to maintain good public relations,
we keep in touch with the local administration, social workers,
T.U. offices, other Nepal Government/NGOs, INGOs, community
development agencies and various health posts. Every year,
especially during the annual party, we invite guests. This
gives us a chance to know each other personally and to strengthen
our good public relations between campus and the community.
