| Students
There
are 205 (as quota) seats in the student
body. They come from
all parts of Nepal with different
backgrounds.
They are selected and prepared for the service as a professional
nurse without any discrimination. Special concern is given to those
who are from marginalized, oppressed, or underserved groups providing
scholarship through the committee. Certificate level students must
have completed ten years of school with a minimum 50%
mark and have to pass a rigorous national entrance examination.
More than two-thirds of the students live in the campus hostel.
Completion of renovation of the main building will give them safer
and better accommodation.
The Bachelor of Nursing program was begun in 1996
to prepare Nepali nurse leaders. BN students have completed their
basic nursing education and worked for several years as professional
nurses in various healths related organizations of Nepal.
The Masters in Nursing program was begun in 2009 inorder to prepare Nepali nurses leaders in higher ranking. Enrolling students have to complete BN and
work for several years in health related organizations of Nepal. |
